When visiting The Dalles Dam visitors will board a brightly colored open-air train to view portions of the longest dam in the United States. They also offer free one-hour tours and tours are accessible to everyone, including those with disabilities and children in strollers. While taking a tour, you’ll learn about the dam’s power generation capabilities and be able to watch the fascinating fish passage facilities. The Dalles Dam Visitor Center operates from May 1st through September 30th.
